We understand and believe in the importance of personal service. From certified personal trainers to fitness instructors, program directors to member service ambassadors, we retain some of the finest people around. Not only is our expert staff dedicated to helping you reach your fitness goals, but they are committed to building relationships and involving you in the YMCA community.

Cutting-Edge Equipment

We've selected our fitness equipment based on ease of use and reliability, so you'll find an exceptional selection of cutting-edge cardiovascular, strength conditioning/resistance training machines, and free weight systems. Our many amenities include a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, two aerobic studios, an indoor track, spacious lockers rooms, a family locker room, saunas, steam rooms -- and more.

Emphasis on Mind and Body

With more than 150 years of experience as a leader in fitness, our approach to exercise is simple, yet multifaceted: focus on the wellness of the whole person -- in spirit, mind and body. In classes and on the workout floor, our objectives are to help you safely improve and maintain cardio-respiratory function, strength and toning, flexibility, and stress management. By combining these with lectures and handouts on general health issues and nutrition, we emphasize the overall wellness of our members.

Focus on Family

The Reston YMCA offers opportunities for families to participate in a safe, friendly environment. Our program schedules are designed to provide families with the option to participate together or for everyone to "do their own thing" at the same time. The on-site baby-sitting service allows parents to participate in programs with the assurance that their children are being cared for in a safe and secure environment. We also make fitness fun for kids and have developed outstanding programs that encourage children to make a lifelong commitment to physical activity and wellness.

Leader in Child Development

The YMCA is the largest and one of the most respected providers of child care in the United States. The state-of-the-art child development center at the Reston YMCA is a warm, loving, and secure learning environment for children 18 months through 14 years of age. Our child development programs include Toddler, Preschool, and School Age.

Staffed by enthusiastic, certified child care professionals, each program emphasizes healthy peer relationships, leadership development, and self-awareness through age-appropriate education, healthy and creative activities, games, reading, computer lessons, homework assistance, field trips, and more.

Strong Community

As a YMCA member, your involvement -- directly or indirectly -- goes beyond health and wellness. Your membership helps to strengthen your community by supporting programs that "build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities" -- fitness, educational, and outreach programs that touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. We provide opportunities to get kids off the streets and into programs that build character. We promote confidence and trust in young adults through our outdoor adventure programs. We get moms back into the work force by providing day care scholarships.

Character Building

Character development is integral to all YMCA programs. We are guided by four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. In the gym, in the classroom, or at the member check-in counter, we strive to develop these character values in ourselves and our members.

Available to All

One of our goals at the YMCA is to welcome everyone even if they are unable to pay for the full cost of YMCA programs. We offer financial assistance to individuals and families, regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnicity, or income level. Lives are improved every day through YMCA community outreach thanks to the generosity of members and donors to our annual Building Bridges Campaign.

It's Easy to Join the YMCA

We offer flexible payment options and convenient membership plans. Stop by our Sales Office and meet with a friendly, professional YMCA staff member to learn more and to take a tour of our beautiful facility.
